One of my favorite spaces in the guesthouse to design.

This room was entirely about contrast, matte against gloss, rustic against refined. The velvety limewash walls soften the room, while the deep-green high-gloss tile catches and reflects the changing light throughout the day. Mixed metals, aged wood, and sculptural forms all work together to create a space that feels collected rather than overly polished.

At the center of it all is the carved natural stone vessel sink, whose raw texture became the perfect counterpoint to the more tailored details throughout the room. A quieter echo of the incredible farmhouse sink in the kitchen, and one of the details that helped tie the guesthouse together as a whole.

If you caught my last post, you’ve seen the soft pink bedroom—this is its ensuite bathroom. Originally, it was plain and the black vanity felt far too harsh against the warmth coming from the bedroom.

We lightened the mood with a classic white vanity and a simple, charming mirror, then wrapped the walls in a cool blue floral wallpaper from . The feminine pattern contrasts beautifully with the bedroom’s pink tones, giving each space its own character while still feeling like part of the same story.

Before welcoming her baby brother, this 9-year-old got a room makeover just for her. Soft Opal gives a pink glow without overwhelming, paired playful touches of “faux Labradoodle” she loves.

As we live in our homes, they naturally evolve with us. This room actually started out as a home office, but after a little time needs shifted. I was delighted to be asked to come back to turn it into a moody lounge instead. The perfect blue — Sea Serpent — already set the tone, while meaningful heirlooms blended with freshly sourced pieces to create the ultimate lounge feel.

Sometimes the smartest design move is to work with what you’ve got. In this kids’ bathroom, the existing vanity fit the space perfectly, so a replacement would’ve meant custom. Any gaps on either side would’ve collected who-knows-what.

We opted to keep it, and gave it a total glow-up: new crisp quartz counters, feminine brass fixtures, fresh hardware and a coat of soft pink paint in color Honey Hut. Now it’s completely unrecognizable.

A minty green Eskayel wallpaper ties it all together, picking up the tones in the floor and giving the whole space a fresh, playful elegance.

The heart of this dining room is a piece of art my clients discovered on vacation in Key West. They sent me a photo from the gallery , and we all knew—it was the one. Playful, colorful, and full of personal meaning, it’s now the first thing you see when you walk in the door.

We built the rest of the room around it: an extendable table for gatherings, the existing sideboard, and a refreshed kitchen island with scalloped paneling that’s as practical as it is charming. Now it is a space that feels warm, personal, and ready for memories.
