With a BS in Interior Design and MBA from Cornell, Tamara has 15+ years experience spanning architecture, corporate real estate and commercial and residential design. She is passionate about travel, literature, and chocolate cake.

Working at my first interior design job after college, ca. 1998. Interior design is my true calling and gift. Every day, for over 25 years, I've had the opportunity to make the world around me a little bit better through beauty and good design. That's a responsibility I take seriously and hold joyfully. Now in the middle of my career, it's incredible to look back at how much I've learned and grown so much along the way. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. And I continue to be inspired and excited by what's ahead.

Creative built-ins are one of our favorite things to design! We maximized the under-eaves space in this bonus room/home office with a bookcase, media console and a beverage center. Our client loves the improved functionality and storage in their space!

We just installed this juicy coral 🪸custom-built chaise and accent pieces for our client’s “coastal with a twist” inspired home office. Color is a great way bring positive energy and inspire creativity in a workspace. Don’t be afraid to go bold with your favorite colors!

A space for dreaming ~
We think it’s important to have a calm and peaceful place somewhere in your home, a designated area free from distraction, for meditation, relaxation and introspection. It could be a cozy little nook, a comfy chair next to meaningful possessions, or a spot next to a window with the sights and sounds of nature. Lighting is like jewelry for the home. The right fixtures accent and enhance a room, and are a key way to show your personal style. When our client moved into a new home recently, our first order of business was to replace all of the outdated and builder’s grade light fixtures. Just this one change made a huge difference!

Love this quote from the great Renzo Piano, an architect whose work I've always admired. Neuroscience research actually shows that that human beings NEED beauty in their environment in order to thrive. Beautiful, ordered and thoughtfully designed spaces reduce stress and simply make us feel happier. Knowing we can directly improve our client's health and well being through our work is one of the reasons I’m very passionate and committed to the value I can bring into the world as an interior designer.

This closet design is giving us vacation vibes!🌴Especially loving the custom island we designed, which has a unique curved bench front and lots of shallow drawers for jewelry/accessory storage on the opposite side. For the cushion top, we chose a beautiful large scale print in shades of blue and coral - some of our client's favorite colors!

This client's den featured two design icons you've probably seen before, but not usually in the same space! The Eames Lounge and Saarinen Womb chair make a powerful duo - and with stars like these, you've gotta let them shine! We kept the rest of the space subdued with a textured contemporary rug from Feizy Rugs, and chose Sherwin Williams Honed Soapstone for the wall color above the wainscot.
