Last night’s custom candle class was on another level. 🔥

The fragrance blends people created were absolutely incredible — honestly some of the best scent ratios we’ve seen in a long time. We spent the evening diving into true perfume blending principles, teaching how top, middle, and base notes work together to create complex, balanced scents that smell professionally crafted.

Every single candle ended up completely unique, and the creativity around the table was unreal. Nights like this are exactly why we love what we do. 🕯️✨

This weekend, as we gather with family, cook out, travel, and enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted, I hope everyone takes a moment to remember what Memorial Day truly means.

For some, it’s the unofficial start of summer.

For others, it’s names, faces, voices, and memories that never leave you.

These are some of the men I personally knew and served alongside — friends and brothers whose loss left a permanent mark on my life. They were young. They were brave. And they never made it home.

At Waxhaw Candle Company, we wanted to pause this weekend and honor the true meaning behind the holiday. Freedom is not free, and Memorial Day is not simply about celebration — it is about remembrance.
