The Hearth and Patio store started out as The Chimney Shop in 1978. When the business outgrew its first location, they built a new store on Monroe Road. The name was changed to The Hearth and Patio as the store began offering outdoor furniture as a summer compliment to the winter-based fireplace product. Mildred Marze, an original employee of The Chimney Shop, and her husband Don Marze purchased t

he business in 1985. Their success was built on having a great product at a fair price, good service for our customers, and knowledgeable employees.

You can scroll grills for an hour and not know how the burners actually feel. You can compare fireplace photos and not know how a real flame throws heat in a real room. You can save a couch to a wishlist and never sit in it long enough to know if you'd still want to sit in it three years from now.
