Warning: Meeting Kelly may result in the following side effects:
* She will appear perfectly normal and approachable. This is a trap.
* She has approximately 47 ideas at any given moment, and at least 12 of them involve wood, Canva, a laser cutter, or “wait…what if we…”
* If she says, “I have a quick question,” clear your schedule. It is not a quick question.
* She has the dangerous combination of being creative AND capable. This means she doesn’t merely have ideas—she actually makes the things.
* She will tell you she is “just going to make a few” and somehow you are now discussing product lines, Etsy listings, craft shows, packaging, pricing, and seasonal marketing.
* She has teacher brain, which means she can turn literally anything into an organized activity, learning opportunity, spreadsheet, or beautifully worded announcement.
* She is very likely to ask, “Can you make it a little shorter?” after you have poured your soul into something. 😂
* She has strong opinions about wording, but will happily collaborate until it sounds exactly right.
* She appreciates humor, especially the slightly sarcastic, “I love you, but I’m going to roast you a little” variety.
* She is a problem solver. Telling her something can’t be done is likely to trigger the response: “Okay, but what if we…”
* She has a soft spot for rustic, primitive, cozy things—and apparently believes every season deserves its own collection.
* She will probably say she doesn’t need another craft idea. Do not believe her.
* She is equal parts teacher, crafter, entrepreneur, perfectionist, encourager, and chaos coordinator.
* And perhaps most dangerously: she genuinely wants things to be useful, meaningful, and fun—not just “done.”
Final warning:
If you become friends with Kelly, you may accidentally find yourself helping at a craft show, voting in a candy corn poll, brainstorming ornament sayings at 10 p.m., or being handed a piece of unfinished wood with the words, “Okay, tell me what you think…”
At that point, it’s too late. You’re part of the operation. 😂
