Gotta love a slow morning in a space like this. There’s something special about a kitchen that flows into cozy spaces for gathering, relaxing. Coffee brewing, nowhere to rush off to, and maybe a little fire going. ☕️ Sometimes it’s the simple things that make a house feel like home.

I couldn’t let the week end without giving a HUGE shout-out to my cousin Amber of Amber Guyton, Blessed Little Bungalow on the release of her beautiful new book, Soulful Maximalism! 🎉💕 It seems like just yesterday she was calling me to share that she was thinking about starting a design blog and side hustle. To watch her journey since then has been nothing short of astounding! It’s truly a testament to what’s possible when you’re walking in your calling. I couldn’t be more proud of her! If you’re not following her, you absolutely should be. Better yet, go grab a copy of this gorgeous book! P.S. If you thought I loved color, wait until you see what my cousin can do! 😂🌈👏🏾

What was once a basic catch-all space became a stylish and functional home management hub with tons of additional storage and an upgraded workspace at a time when working from home was a necessity. One of my favorite things about High Point Market is the opportunity to learn, connect and have conversations that help us all do business better.

I’m especially looking forward to this one because the designer-vendor relationship is such an important part of our industry, but not one we talk about often enough. It has changed a lot over the years, and there’s plenty to talk about when it comes to what works, what doesn’t and what we need from each other.

This should be a good one! Hope to see you there.

It all starts with a vision. ✨ Renderings are such an important part of our process because they help our clients see where we’re headed long before the room comes together. While technology can now create images that look almost indistinguishable from real life, I still have a soft spot for a hand-drawn rendering. There’s something about seeing the idea take shape on paper while still leaving a little room for the imagination. As helpful as it is to see what’s to come, I still want the finished room to have a little magic left in it. Swipe to see these visions become reality.

Your home should be an expression of the people who live there, no matter what stage of life you’re in. I’m a big believer that beautiful design and kids can absolutely coexist. In this colorful family room, accessible toys and books were a must, while performance fabrics and durable furnishings made sure the space could stand up to real family life. Beautiful, functional and made for everyone who lives here.
