Man listen… when Muse Noire becomes what we will become, just know I had some help along the way…

Mid figure it out I got the call to say after the extensive application, panel of interviews, and a deep financial review we’d like to offer you a spot in Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business program for cohort 35

To say the least I was overwhelmed before, during and after the call to be honest. When I applied I just knew it was the catalyst I needed. I can’t tell you how I knew, I just did. They were giving me so much information over the phone and I was literally just trying to hold it together. Because I knew! I knew this was the start of an answered prayer.

See I had made a plan for the year and again to say the least it was not working. And once I realized it wasn’t working I considered pulling away from my target demographic of clients and that to be honest made me incredibly sad. Why?

I built this for us. I can’t turn my back on us when the going gets tough! More on that later though!

To my growth advisor 🥹 and powerhouse believer. Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for the direction, the push and the silent yet solid presence you possess. You show up consistently on brand for all that you stand for and beyond the business coaching I need you to know that I had my fingers crossed behind my back since orientation hoping we’d get to connect.

The time and energy you poured into me will not go to waste. I feel every bit of responsible for your belief in me. You’re kinda stuck with me and I hope that’s okay.

A lot of you mentioned going through this program through other cities, through different faculty. Respectfully. You can’t convince me that there’s a more qualified group of faculty and advisors than the one in a Dallas.

Put your mask on first, back to school edition:
Before I ask my daughter to clean her room, I clean mine. It’s one of my favorite parenting hacks. Not because I’m trying to be perfect, but because kids often do what we do long before they do what we say.

As we head into back-to-school season, we’re busy preparing everyone else. But who’s preparing the environment that restores you?

We spend so much time creating spaces where everyone else can thrive that we forget we deserve one too.

We recently had the pleasure of redefining an environment for a mother and all I could think was yeah they think we’re just transforming the space, but deep down I knew we were creating a sanctuary for the woman holding everything together for the legend before her and the legacy coming up behind her. ( multi-generational household )

The airplane safety speech says to put your mask on first, and I happen to think our homes should help us do exactly that.

For 80 years, the Polar Bears of Martha’s Vineyard have reminded us that belonging is something we create together.

It’s opening night for premier fundraising event. I am so excited to be lending a helping hand this year as a volunteer!

Last year I had the privilege of being a featured designer fresh off of my debut and let me tell you it was a worthwhile world-wind and I’m glad I could say yes.

The staff and volunteers at Dwell really make this organization easy to love which is why I’m so excited to be amongst the volunteers and VIP committee welcoming in folks for the opening night!

Furniture, lighting and decor will be available for sale at wholesale price points in the design district tonight and it’s all from luxury trade only brands, crazy!!

I was still so new to Dallas this time last year but the micro community I had made by that point really showed up in a major way!

Join me tonight which it Dwell with Dignity’s retail location located at 1833 E Levee Street Dallas TX from 6pm - 9pm today it’s paid to attend (if you want first dibs) tomorrow it’s free to go in and shop til May 9th
