After 15 months under renovation our beach house in the “Slow country” is testing my patience. I have been working in the industry for 23 years and have never had a renovation go so slow. It is a combination of everything going on in our world today. It is lack of employees, the supply and demand chain and the fact that we are not there all the time.
I was hoping to be posting the progress, but as you see, there has not been much. Stay tuned, As soon as I have something to show for this long-awaited project, you will start seeing our old house shape up. I know the wait will be worth it, but as anybody knows who has gone or is going through a renovation project patience is the name of the game

RIP Carleton Varney
I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday last year at the Greenbrier and meeting Mr. Varney. He was such a joy to visit with. He shared his time, his stories his designs and his pride in the Greenbrier with me. He took the time to walk me around and point out different design elements, furniture pieces and fabrics that where special to him and to Dorothy Draper. A day I will always cherish and a man I will always admire and remember dearly
