Let's talk candle quality! 🕯
Candle making is not a simple process. It is a lot of trial and error.
One of our customers recently asked us to fill some vessels she loves. One of them had a candle in it that was purchased from another maker.
We were shocked at what we saw! 😳
The candle was made with a soy wax, that appeared to be lower quality, due to the chalky look. (another reason we don't use soy wax!) It did not have enough wicks, and the wicks used were an incorrect size, hence the bad tunneling. The wax was also filled all the way to the top, so if it had burned correctly, it would have made a huge mess.
We are NOT bashing the maker of this candle. We are simply asking that if you choose to make and sell candles, do plenty of research, make testers, and have your method perfected before selling your products. And as consumers, make sure you know what you are buying beforehand. We use non-toxic fragrances oils and sustainably harvested coconut apricot wax to make some of the best candles you can buy.
