What in the world takes so long?
I know sometimes you order candles and you feel like it takes an eternity to get them. Let me explain the process...
First, I have no idea how large a sale is going to be. I try really hard to offer sales at discounted rates for many reasons. I want happy customers. I want to bring scent into your spaces. I want you to remember people, places, things. When sales explode, it takes me a minute to get them poured. (Side note: I love a sale that explodes!)
On top of my sales, I am stocking my space, and pouring fundraisers. It does make my life chaotic, but if I can help an organization raise funds, I'm in! I also just finished up a wedding, which makes me so very happy and honored.
Once you order, the process begins. I take your order from my site and write in my book. Bookkeeping is important for my organization. I have a hard time saying no, so when someone orders a scent I am out of, I order it.
I pour in small batches. This means I try to pour sixteen of the same scent at a time. This takes time because they have to cure and I only have so much room. Curing is important. If they don't cure correctly, your smells aren't smelly. Then I have to smooth and label. Don't forget, I handwrite every single label. I pride myself on touching every product that leaves my workshop.
Currently, I'm pushing out the last three sales I had and delivered the last of my fundraisers this morning. I'm on it. I promise. I'll be reaching out this weekend and next week as I FINALLY get caught up. I'm so close.
Now... with that being said...
I'm clearing out the workshop for a deep, deep clean and reorganization. Everything in that shop is going. I'll be posting a $10 sale beginning tomorrow, running through the weekend with scents being updated all weekend long. I will likely lose my mind, but scents must go so I can order so many fun new ones and as crazy as this sounds, get ready for fall! (FYI... this sale is all scents, all seasons!)
So sniff around. I have nothing but smells for you all weekend long. AND... watch for a message about pick up!
Yours in soy and chaos,
Stacy
