Chocolate Protein Ice Cream 🍫🍦
If you’ve ever made protein ice cream, you know the biggest challenge is texture — so many versions turn out more icy than creamy.
This chocolate ice cream checks all the boxes: rich, creamy, chocolatey, and packed with protein — all while being low in sugar. The ultimate frozen summer treat!
One ingredient that makes a huge difference is Viva Naturals Allulose Sweetener. It adds sweetness with zero calories while creating a soft, scoopable texture — without the lingering aftertaste some sweeteners have.
Viva Naturals Organic Cacao Powder gives this ice cream a deep, rich chocolate flavor. It's Non-GMO Project Verified, blends smoothly without clumping, and works anywhere you'd use cocoa powder.

Servings: 3
Ingredients:
1 (13.5 oz) can lite coconut milk
⅓ cup Viva Naturals Organic Cacao Powder
1 scoop (about ¼ cup or 30g) vegan chocolate protein powder
¼ cup Viva Naturals Allulose Sweetener
1 tsp vanilla extract or paste
¼ tsp salt
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in your frozen dessert maker's pint container. Mix with a handheld frother, whisk, or immersion blender until smooth.
Freeze with the lid off for 24 hours (this helps the mixture freeze flat). Once frozen, add the lid if storing longer.
Run the outside of the container under hot water for 1–2 minutes, then process on the “Lite Ice Cream” setting.
If crumbly, add 1 tbsp dairy-free milk and process on the “Re-spin” setting. Repeat as needed until smooth and creamy.
Optional mix-ins: After the final spin, make a hole in the center, add 2–4 tbsp of your desired mix-ins (such as chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or crushed cookies) and process on the “Mix-in” setting.
Enjoy immediately for the best texture. If storing leftovers, smooth the surface flat before refreezing. To enjoy again, process on the "Lite Ice Cream" setting and re-spin with a splash of dairy-free milk if needed.
