If I could add one thing to almost every home I create, it would probably be an old door like this.

It doesn't have to be perfect. In fact, I'd rather it wasn't.

Those layers of age are what make a space feel like it's been loved for a long time. πŸšͺ🌿

I love that old, chippy tables already have a story before anything is ever set on them.

Fresh flowers, a few simple pieces, and suddenly the whole room feels warm and welcoming without trying too hard.🌿

β˜€οΈ Good Morning~

πŸ“– As iron sharpens iron,
So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
Proverbs 27:17

I’ve always liked this verse because good people in your life really do make a difference.

Not the ones who just tell you what you want to hear all the time. I mean the ones who make you think better, do better, and hold yourself a little straighter.

I think we all need people like that.

The kind of friend who tells the truth, encourages you, and makes you want to rise up instead of settle. That matters more than I think we realize.

And honestly, I think it’s a gift when God puts people like that in our lives.

I hope today has a little encouragement in it somewhere for y'all. Be blessed, friends🀍🌿

I've always thought a front porch should make you slow down before you ever open the door.

A couple of old chairs, plenty of plants, weathered wood that's earned every mark, and a place to sit for a while.

Those are the kinds of spaces I never seem to get tired of creating. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ2️⃣5️⃣0οΈβƒ£πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ 🌿

One thing I find myself coming back to over and over is a table that looks like it's been part of the house forever.

The worn wood, old dishes, fresh flowers... none of it has to match perfectly. I actually like it better when it doesn't.

Those little layers are what make a room feel collected instead of decorated.🌿

β˜€οΈ Good Morning~

πŸ“– Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
Exodus 15:20

I’ve always loved this part because sometimes you really don’t know how heavy a season was until you’re finally on the other side of it.

When you’re in it, you’re just trying to keep going.

Just trying to make it through. Keep your faith. Get up again the next day and do what needs doing.

And then there comes a point where you can breathe a little deeper and realize God brought you through something.

I think that’s why I love Miriam here.

That kind of joy hits different when you know what it cost to get there.

And I think some praise only comes out that way too.

I hope there’s a little lightness in your day today, friends. 🀍🌿

I don't think I've ever regretted adding more light to a room.

White slipcovers, old wood, greenery, big windows... those are the things I keep coming back to over and over.

Not because they're trendy.

Because they make a space feel calm, comfortable, and easy to live in.

That's the kind of room I never seem to get tired of.πŸ’›πŸŒΏ

I've always loved rooms that reveal themselves a little at a time.

A doorway, a glimpse of a table, a chair tucked into the next room.

Maybe that's why I tend to decorate in layers instead of all at once. I like discovering little details as I move through a house.

It feels more lived in that way.πŸ’›πŸŒΏ

β˜€οΈ Good Morning~

πŸ“– And the bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord.🌿
1 Kings 17:16

I’ve always loved this part of the story because God didn’t give her ten years ahead.

He gave enough for that day.

And I think that matters, because sometimes I want more than that. I want the whole plan, the whole answer, the whole supply laid out where I can see it. But a whole lot of life with God doesn’t work that way.

Sometimes it really is just enough for today.

Enough grace. Enough strength. Enough help to do what’s in front of me and trust Him again tomorrow.

And honestly, I think that’s what makes this one feel so real. God knows how to provide in a way that keeps me leaning on Him instead of getting too comfortable in myself.

That felt worth remembering this morning.

I hope there’s a little peace in knowing today will have what it needs. 🀍🌿
