haven’t staged this one yet. Don’t know what it is, but when we found it at the consignment store that was closing, I couldn’t pass it up. This is a big heavy piece. The base is a hollow pottery/ceramic with no holes in it except for the stopper. The stopper seems to be a solid wooden piece. It’s not a fountain, no maker marks, have no idea if it had any original purpose other than decorative. Don’t know if I’ll sell it. For now it’s just part of my collection of cool.

Funny story behind this lamp. We were looking at an auction in Michigan last year. Browsing the items to see if there was anything we wanted to bid on. I saw this lamp base and fell in love. The hubby was not excited about it. When he asked me how high to bid I said just get it for me. We ended up paying just a little over $100 on it. My lovely sister picked this up for me. She had several people try to buy it off of her as she was leaving the auction house. The first time I actually got to see it in person was months later when we were in Michigan to pick up a collection of items. The craftsmanship is just drool worthy. I made my husband take great pains when we were driving this back across country. Finally got this gorgeous stained glass shade to use with it. So happy with the end result. Well, not quite the end result. Still looking for the perfect finial.… but, at least now my husband understands why I wanted it so badly.

We brought an abundance of new vintage and antique items from our trip to Michigan. The hubby is getting a little upset with me, I’m finding myself oddly attached to so many pieces. Of course, who wouldn’t love the Tiffany lamp!… But look at that turkey head. It was bought from a decoy auction. It’s hand carved and sits so tall. I have no idea what I will do with it but it’s got so much cool factor to it…

We reset a cozy corner on our porch. One of my favorite things to do is to reuse/repurpose items I already own when I am creating a vignette. I feel so accomplished.

I had to share this, because I have the coolest friends. One of them has been holding onto this awesome piece of history. I’m putting the word out because she’s ready to sell. It's a 1930s, 40s? vintage midway amusement park motorcycle ride. This is one of the earliest produced for carousels and merry go rounds. Wonderful aged patina. FYI, she's got this priced to sell at $1000 obo. Basic measurements are 3ft Tall 4ft 3in Long. let me know if you just have to add this to your collection. I am more than prepared to pass the word along to help her get a quick sale.

We’ve been working at the house for a while. A new Ring system installed and we’re finally getting around to hanging art pieces and what not. Here's the vintage Denoyer-Geppert Junior Politcal Series map of the US. It's so old it includes the Philippines as a territory. Still beautifully vivid colors. , thanks for all the hard work! 💕
