Tender Beef Strips Stir-Fried with Juicy Mushrooms in a Savory Asian Garlic Sauce
Ingredients:
500g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
250g fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 large onion, sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup beef broth
2 green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
In a bowl, combine sliced beef with cornstarch, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, and a pinch of black pepper. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
Add the beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Add the remaining oil to the skillet. SautΓ© mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper for 4-5 minutes until slightly tender.
Add garlic and ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Return the beef to the pan and mix with the vegetables.
Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and beef broth. Stir well to coat everything in the flavorful sauce.
Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and the beef is tender.
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Serve hot over steamed rice, noodles, or your favorite side dish.
