🔥 Smoky Birch

This candle blends birch tree forest scents with elements of smoke. It feels like you’re stepping into a 1920’s speakeasy in the heart of the Northwoods.

I’m always amazed by how many different styles of b**r Pollyanna is able to make extremely well. This English Pub Ale makes me want to listen to The Clash and talk about how many great bands have come out of England.

🔥 Smoky Birch

The scent of a birch tree has a way of taking you back to a time and place. This blend leans into the smokiness of birch by adding smoke element to the scent of birch trees in a dense forest.

I had not heard of Brothership Brewing before picking up a 4-pack of Area 5.1, which sold me on the name alone, and I’m happy I found this b**r. Great German-style pilsner!

🔥 Hinoki Bonfires

This is a Japanese cypress tree scent mixed with smoky embers of a bonfire.

I always used to criticize micro-breweries of not being able to produce great la**rs, and then a few years ago I tried Goldfinger. They’re the first local Chicagoland craft brewery to make me eat my words. Their la**rs are great! Goldfinger Pils is in my year round rotation.

🔥 Barbershop

This is a limited, small batch scent. I don’t even remember what exact fragrance mix I used but it smells like a barbershop. Burn ‘em while they last.

Vegan In The Burbs Market is a monthly vegan market hosted by Cruelty Free You And Me and a rotating group of Chicagoland breweries. Whenever I’m invited to participate, I try to make a few candles in the hosting brewery’s b**r cans. If possible, I’ll make them before the event, but I’ll always leave the brewery with a 4-pack of b**rs to turn into the next batch of tallboy b**r can candles.

The most recent market was at Pollyanna Brewing & Distilling | St. Charles and the next market will be at Solemn Oath Brewery

If you’d like to support local Chicagoland vegan food, craft, and art vendors, as well as local breweries, please follow Vegan in the Burbs Market and Cruelty Free You + Me to keep track of where the upcoming markets will be.

If you’re a local brewery and would like to participate, collab on a b**r candle, or stock Vandal Candle b**r can candles, please reach out! 🔥

This has been one of my favorite b**rs as of late. The artwork, the name, and the b**r are straightforward and intentional! This is a great dark l***r.

🔥 Birch + Fire

Birch is one of those scents that sticks with you and takes you back to a time and place. This candle blends the woodsy birch tree with the scent of a burning fire in a cabin fireplace.
