Happy happy birthday to my wonderful, perfect daughter Charlotte. Sending her off to school this year was both heartbreaking and exhilarating. I was so filled with pride at all she had accomplished and all that she will accomplish, but knowing that she wouldn’t be sitting next to me on the couch each night, snuggling up laughing at memes made me so sad.

Having her home again for Christmas is a little gift in itself. I can’t believe she’s 19! Watching her laugh with her friends the other night at a little impromptu party filled me with such joy at all she has conquered in these past years and the woman she has become. In this dark and dangerous world on this winter solstice she gives me hope for the future

We love you so much Charlie!

. Good morning! The windchill is predicted to be -15 for most of the weekend and as such I’ve decided to withdraw from the Northcenter Holly Jolly Market. I just can’t risk my health sitting out in that cold for nearly 16 hours over two days. I’m so grateful to the Northcenter Neighbors Association for their understanding and I wish them the greatest success with the festival this weekend
