Innovative Design Company Born and raised in San Diego California, art has always been my first love.

When it came time to choose a career I studied Psychology and Art consecutively with the intent of going into the field of Art Psychology. As time went on I began using my art skills as an Interior Decorator and established Elben & Behling Design in 2006 with long time friend Jodi Behling. Together we took on the design world enjoying the opportunity of designing both residential and commercial sp

aces. After moving to Memphis Tennessee I had the privilege of working with the President of the Association of Realtors for two years staging homes for Prudential. In late 2009 my family and I moved home to San Diego I was contacted time and again by clients to please accept,” just one more job”. That one job led to dozens more and so Joy Elben Design was established in early 2010. A move to Ojai, California expanded my design capacity and reach, affording me tremendous opportunities to work on projects from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles and everywhere in between. Partnering with the Ojai Valley School districts to remodel each of the teacher’s lounge spaces within the public school district was a highlight of my time there. While still managing significant work in San Diego and throughout Southern California, projects came pouring in from across the country and so began my foray into remote design. As this new part of my business grew I began to realize that I was indeed venturing into the design mode of the future. I honed my craft to specialize in a unique and much needed niche of interior design. After moving to North Georgia nearly four years ago, and even more recently with the introduction and necessity of ZOOM in the workplace, business has exploded. What at one time may have seemed foreign to many has now become the design wave of the future. It is a joy for me to work in a way that is effective, at an attainable price point and professionally curated, whether done remotely or in person. I’m so grateful every time I am trusted with the memories that will be built within the unique walls of ones most treasured space. Whether in person or remote services work best for you, let’s together create a place where a lifetime of special moments will be stored.

Pantone has just come out with their new color for 🤎2025 🤎and I could NOT help myself from joining in on the fun! 🙌🏼

SO, I will be doing a small series, ✅ per the usual, to show you how to use this color in your homes 🏡 in the coming days AND if the Lord wills… MAYBE in 2025 I will be able to take new clients!!! 😍

We ended with an ecclectic, collected design and two incredibly happy clients. I wouldn't want any other job!!!

Mixing a metal sideboard and floor lamp with a rustic wood table and elegant crystal candle sticks and chandelier creates a space that is both casual and refined. LOVE it!” 😍

⛲️🏫If you need another reason to decide to fall in love with Pantone’s color of the year, how about historic hotels.

💗Okay, okay, listen, I know technically the Beverly Hills Hotel and the La Valencia are pink but honestly, don’t you think that in some lighting and in some spots they read peach? 🧡

🌴🌊☀️If you don’t, then just play along for my sake and enjoy the nostalgia with me because, La Jolla and Beverly Hills, my friends.

😌Happy sigh… if you haven’t seen these hotels in person, come visit me and we will walk around together. You will love the architecture and ambiance and colors. The original architects and designers knew. They knew. 🥰

💰I’m not suggesting, investment art, unless of course you have been waiting⏱️for peach to make a resurgence, then by all means, do the thing! 🙌🏼

🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏿‍♂️But if you have a powder room or a hallway, or a spot that needs some color and haven’t known what to put there, run to Hobby Lobby, check on Amazon or go to your local resale, you could find a treasure there! 🕵🏼‍♀️

✨We will discuss what colors best blend with the earthy, warm, hue 🎨but if you are hesitant 🤔as to where you might begin, here is a simple and modern 🤍 way to add the color as an accent to what you most likely already have. 🏡

⏳They are timeless and transcendent of trends.

💯Even so, they fit this brief perfectly.

🏡From pale shades of Pantone’s 2024, Peach Fuzz, to deeper moodier tones of rust and clay, here are some exquisite ways to incorporate them into your interiors.

🔎terra-cotta, (Italian: “baked earth”) literally, any kind of fired clay but, in general usage, a kind of object—e.g., vessel, figure, or structural form—made from fairly coarse, porous clay that when fired assumes a colour ranging from dull ochre to red and usually is left unglazed.

💚🤎It can be truly elegant when paired with Forest or Sea Foam Green and shades of cream, gold and white.
