We are sad to inform you that Christensen Florist will be permanently closing its doors. For 102 years, we have had the privilege of bringing flowers and plants to the Chippewa Valley and serving your needs with care and dedication. It has truly been an honor to be part of your lives during special moments such as births, weddings, anniversaries, holidays, funerals, spring planting, and many others. Serving you all has been a true pleasure.
Multiple generations of the Christensen family—five in total—have built meaningful friendships and strong business relationships within this community. These relationships that have been the foundation of our family’s legacy. Brian, Micki, and Shaun want to sincerely thank you for your continued loyalty and support over the years.
This decision to close was made after careful consideration. Our business has been a family effort, with multiple generations working together. As Brian and Micki prepare to retire, it has become clear that Shaun can no longer continue alone without it impacting his well-being and quality of life. Please understand, this is not a reflection of failure, but rather a strategic choice to ensure Shaun can prioritize his work-life balance and spend quality time with his family in the years ahead.
Our final day of normal operations will be June 26th. Up to that date you can still order flowers and plants for pick up or delivery. Beginning today, we will begin liquidating everything. From bolts of ribbon, containers, pottery, supplies, furniture, seasonal decorations, everything. If it’s not the dog, it’s for sale. This would include greenhouse items as well. Benches, furnaces, hoop houses, everything. The sale will be available to everyone both public and private. We will extend this liquidation sale through July 10th. Everything must go, all sales final. After that time cleanup of the property will begin and we will be accepting offers on the property itself.
In gratitude and sadness,
Brian, Micki and Shaun Christensen
