There’s something surreal about walking through a house you once lived so fully in…and seeing it empty.

As a designer, I could point out every finish, every decision, every detail we chose.
But standing there, none of that is what stayed with me.

It’s the way we lived here.
The every day moments that quietly became the memories I’ll carry with me.

This home held a really special chapter for our family and saying goodbye to it feels big.

BUT… there’s a new chapter ahead and I cannot wait to bring you along for it!

Through all the chaos of life, in the reality of nothing ever feeling quite perfect this side of heaven— i am so grateful that you come to this little corner of the internet with me for a little encouragement, a little inspo, maybe a reminder that it’s all allowed to be in progress.

May our “messy middles” feel a little brighter this Christmas morning. From my family to yours, blessings over you today, may you feel the beauty of the Light and all He brings.

A decade later, an HGTV show later, a whole new career and hundreds of kitchens, bathrooms, family homes, and individual stories later- I couldn’t imagine a better, more fulfilling path. I didn’t have a clue what the “destination” was (still don’t 🙃), but I tell you what- this journey has been more than I ever could have hoped for.
Helping people love their home, raising babies into women in mine, hearing your dreams and facilitating bringing them to life, creating sanctuaries….i am forever grateful.

Sometimes design looks like perfect renderings.
