Small Business Social Media… it’s what plagues just about every small business owner.
What do I post? When do I post? Am I reaching the right audience? Why did one post get 4 likes while another got 400? 🤷♀️
The truth is, none of us really know. And why? Because we’re too busy running every other aspect of our businesses—accounting, merchandising, HR, inventory, customer service, ordering, scheduling…you name it.
Sometimes we hit the mark. Sometimes we completely miss it. That’s just the reality of being a small business owner.
But I can tell you one thing: every small business owner has the same #1 goal—to get you through their door.
So, when you see something you like on social media from a small business, sure, like the post. Maybe even leave a comment. Those things matter more than you probably realize.
But even better? Get in your car and go there.
Don’t send an email asking if they still have it. Don’t send a PM asking them to hold it for you. Don’t wait until it’s convenient.
You’ll jump in your car and drive to the nearest Target when they announce an “exclusive” Stanley print. Do the same for a small business.
Because here’s the fair warning:
If we don’t support small businesses while they’re here, eventually, they won’t be.
And when that happens, you won’t be able to “like” them back into existence. ❤️
Shop local. Show up. Spend local. Keep your small businesses here.
