Alan Medak, a "serious"; amateur musician and a lighting industry professional, longed for a good battery operated music-stand light. Rich Puz, an escapee from the corporate world, was eager to dive into the world of the internet and see if he could earn a living applying a career's worth of PR and communications experience.
