I'm done with the removal of the tracheostomy. Local anesthesia, that's all my instruments in the pan, 2nd pic might be too much for most, sorry so skip. It's the trach tube Last pic is of my 50 ish stitches. I saw 80% off it and felt 100%. He did a great job w stitches but at this point who cares about a scar in my wrinkles.
I will say these were the worst 5 days of my life in this hospital. Never doing any procedures here again and I warn no one else does either.
Confusion, lies, laziness, and my anesthesia doc even called the 2 nurses stupid, messy, all kinds of unkind things. If I wasn't on the table already I would have snapped back.
The nurses were totally professional... yes doctor, sorry doctor, just give me a moment doctor.
I hope they complain because I am going to after my time here is done.
Now keep in mind this is the 2nd procedure in a list of others to fix my face, open wound, eye, mouth, etc. first) 1st was radiation.
And that is praying the cancer drug works for me. ( I've been off the drug since Sunday due to the surgery per instruction) back on prob tomorrow or Monday.
We have cleaned my bed, sponge bath, organized room, got all my s**t together and now to put on a clean gown and listen to TV, hopefully to get some sleep finally.
I will write more in detail about it all one day if you care to hear about it, with all the yucky, terrible experiences. Def. Not a story to share over lunch
Good night all.. we fought and made our thru to fight another day🫶 hope to go home Monday or Tuesday.
