Four years ago, MYRRH was just a whisper in my heart, a fleeting thought that wondered “what if?”… “could I?” Today, it’s proof that obedience builds what fear tries to cancel.

It honestly probably would’ve been easier to quit. But instead I committed to learning, pivoting, stretching, and believing.

This brand was never just about candles. It’s about creating space for healing. It’s about reminding you that restoration is possible. It’s about building something sacred and intentional in the middle of ordinary life.

To every person who has shared, supported, purchased, reposted, prayed, or spoken my name in rooms I’ve never stepped in, THANK YOU. You are part of this story.

I’ve created a lot of beautiful things in my life. But this? This is my first time creating anything like this.

There’s something sacred about creating space. For me, The Sanctuary is more than a magazine, it’s a visual exhale.

The Sanctuary was born from my desire to build what I couldn’t quite find — a space that feels intentional, editorial, refined…yet deeply personal. The Sanctuary is for the woman who appreciates moments to pause and reflect, who savors intentional beauty, thoughtful design, and the stillness that reminds her of her own strength. She moves through life with presence, grace, and an eye for what truly matters.

If you’re new here, welcome. 🦢
I’m Jessica; military kid turned educator, nonprofit leader, doctoral candidate, wife of almost 14 years, church leader, and founder of MYRRH Candle Co.

My life has always been about building spaces.

From classrooms…to after-school programs and summer camps…to nonprofit leadership…to higher education systems. I’ve spent over 15 years creating environments where people can grow.

What I didn’t realize was that creativity was quietly growing in me too.

My love for style.
For design.
For atmosphere.
For the way a room can shift when intention enters it.

MYRRH was born at the intersection of resilience, faith, and a deep desire to create restoration you can feel; not just spiritually, but physically in your space.

Every candle is curated with purpose to serve as a reminder that restoration is possible.

Hosting our first candle making experience of the year at the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center for Valentine’s Day was the sweetest way to start 2026. ❤️

There’s something special about watching people slow down, blend fragrances, laugh together, and create something beautiful with their own hands. Love was truly in the air… and so were the notes of rose, vanilla, and a little confidence.

Grateful to gather, to create, and to continue building spaces where connection and creativity meet. If this is how we’re starting the year, I already know it’s going to be a good one.
