Today we celebrate the life of my Grandma 🤍

2 months ago when my cousin hauled his family out to Florida to oversee grandmas condo renovation while I headed up the design, none of us could’ve anticipated how this project would dovetail with the end of her life🥹 In fact, as the contractor was putting on the final touches, he turned to my cousin and said “are we good?” …at the same time as Jackson received the call that Grandma had passed. Divine timing.

This condo is a place full of family memories, game nights, and breakfast on the lanai. ☕️🌸🃏☀️🏝️

And now, as our extended family shares it (in its newly facelifted state🥳), it continues to be a place where grandma’s legacy of hospitality extends 🥹

We miss her dearly, and yet we rejoice knowing Grandma lived a full 97 years with her signature smile & optimism, and we are so thankful that she is in her eternal home with Jesus🙌🏽

Our sweet Grandma Feller went to be with Jesus on Friday night💛 97 years marked by GRATITUDE TO THE BRIM.

I designed this art piece for the Florida condo she owned & welcomed our extended family to retreat to. It includes snippets of a poem my mom wrote about our condo memories and I designed the piece to represent some of the things my grandma loved — hummingbirds, flowers, sunshine, hospitality, colors that feel like Florida🕊️☀️🌸🍑🌴🌼

This piece was already in the works in conjunction with the condo renovation that Olivia designed — but became so much more sentimental & sweet with the way the timing played out🤍

3 Ways To Collect Emails for Direct Booking Marketing—

1️⃣ QR code sign with offer for guests:
Post this in your house, lead guests to drop their email into a Google form in exchange for a discount code they can use on their next direct booking. Make it EASY for guests to find your website when they’re in your home!

2️⃣ This is seriously a game changer for large properties. Any guest who logs into your WiFi drops their email. They get WiFi, you get emails. Win-win🤝

3️⃣ QR Clue is a creative way to collect emails. It’s an escape room game you set up in the house that allows you to grab emails of every guest that plays!🥳

I’ve been waiting for the right corner for this idea 🤍

…and I found it!

We created a peaceful moment tucked in the living room at Country Roads Cottages righttt by the window with the ski slope scenery.

The home will remain stocked with an easel, paper, and painting supplies so guests can step away from the hubbub & paint the beautiful scene of the Massanutten mountains during their stay🎨

And of course they can take their painting home to be reminded of how much fun they had so they come back next year 😉

Amenities aren’t just about what looks the most flashy in your listing. More importantly, they’re about creating the best experience for your guests. And with a little creativity, that doesn’t always have to break the bank 🙌🏽
