One stitch doesn't seem like much.

Neither does one row.
Neither does one afternoon spent crafting with friends.

But then you look back.

The blanket has grown.
The bobbin is full.
The project is finished.
The memory has been made.

That's the funny thing about progress. It often feels small while it's happening.

This week we've celebrated community, and a growing crochet-along project. Each started the same way—with a single stitch, a single round, a single decision to begin.

That's why we say:

Make Memories • Make Progress.

Because sometimes the project isn't the only thing growing.
The story grows too.

One stitch at a time.

And suddenly... it starts looking like a blanket. ⭐

One round doesn't seem like much.
Neither does one evening of stitching.
Neither does one person picking up a hook and deciding to begin.

But then something interesting happens.

Round by round.
Stitch by stitch.

The project starts to grow.
The shape becomes recognizable.
The colors begin to come together.

Progress that once felt almost invisible becomes impossible to miss.

Our Betty McKnits 6-Day Superstar Blanket in Juniper Moon Farm Cirrus is beginning to do exactly that.

Watching it grow has been a wonderful reminder that progress rarely happens all at once.

It happens one stitch at a time.

One round at a time.
One gathering at a time.

And that's exactly what happens in a creative community.

Someone casts on.
Someone shares a photo.
Someone asks a question.
Someone offers encouragement.

Before long, individual stitches become something much bigger.

The blanket may be growing in the shop, but so is the community creating alongside it.

Whether you're stitching your own blanket, working on another project entirely, or simply cheering others on, you're part of the story.

That's the beauty of making together.

Make Memories • Make Progress.

One stitch at a time.

After spending Saturday crafting together, I couldn't help thinking about all the wheels, needles, hooks, and looms waiting at home for their next project.

There's something energizing about creating alongside other people.

You leave inspired.
Motivated.
Ready to pick up the project that's been waiting for your attention.

That's one of the reasons I love Tour de Fleece.

Yes, there will be yardage.
Yes, there will be finished skeins.

But this year, our goal isn't simply to spin more yarn.
It's to get more wheels turning.
Maybe you'll spin every day.
Maybe you'll finish a sweater quantity.
Maybe you'll simply dust off a wheel that hasn't turned in years.

Every spinner's journey looks different.
Every yard counts.
Every spinner counts.

Tour de Fleece isn't about competing with someone else's progress.

It's about joining a community of makers who are all moving forward together, one treadle, one bobbin, and one skein at a time.

So I'll ask the question again:
When was the last time your wheel spun?

If it's been a while, this might be the perfect summer to start again.

Join the Fearless Fibers Tour de Fleece team and help us get more wheels turning than ever before.

Make Memories • Make Progress.
One skein at a time.

What a beautiful day.

Creativity shared out loud and out in the open.
Projects were worked on.
Stories were exchanged.
Laughter circled around lawn chairs.
Yarn found new homes.
And people who may have walked in as strangers sat side-by-side creating together.

Thank you to everyone who came out, brought projects, swapped yarn, shared encouragement, donated to the food bank, or simply spent part of your day celebrating handmade life with us.

You helped create something bigger than an event
You helped create a memory.
A tradition.

This is what Make Memories • Make Progress looks like.
Not just finished projects.
Not just yarn.

Saturday was a reminder of something we've always believed:
The magic is in the room.
Thank you for being part of it. ❤️

World Wide Knit in Public Day & Yarn Swap
Some of the best summer memories begin with a simple invitation.

Pull up a chair.
Bring your project.
Spend a little time creating alongside people who understand why yarn, fiber, and handmade things matter.

That's what World Wide Knit in Public Day has always been about.

Not perfect projects.
Not finishing something impressive.
Not being the most experienced person at the table.

It's about gathering together.

Sharing ideas.
Meeting new friends.
Laughing over mistakes.
Admiring someone's color choices.
Finding inspiration for the next project.
And remembering that creativity is meant to be shared.

Tomorrow, project bags will open.
Stitches will be made.
Yarn will find new homes through our Yarn Swap.
Conversations will begin between people who may have never met before.
And somewhere in the middle of all of it, memories will be made.

Because the best summer memories don't happen after the project is finished.
They happen while we're making it.

Join us for World Wide Knit in Public Day & Yarn Swap.

Where Will Your Fiber Journey Take You This Summer?

Some summer memories begin with a project.
Some begin with a community event.
Some begin with a skein of yarn and a quiet afternoon on the porch.
And some begin by turning down a road you've never traveled before.

One of my favorite things about summer is the sense of possibility that comes with it. The calendar loosens up a little. Day trips become easier. Adventures feel a little more spontaneous.

Before long, Yarn Tour season will be here.

New shops.
New inspiration.
New yarns.
New stories waiting to be discovered.

But the best part isn't what's on the shelves.

It's the experience.

The conversations.
The friendships.
The unexpected discoveries.
The memories made along the way.

If you've never explored a yarn tour before, this might be the summer to try.
Because every adventure starts somewhere.
And some of the best summer memories begin with a road trip and a project bag in the passenger seat.

Yarn Tour season is coming.

Some Stories Haven't Been Written Yet.

One of my favorite things about owning a yarn shop is watching a skein of yarn become part of someone's story.

A summer tee worn on vacation.
A shawl that travels from porch swings to mountain cabins.
A blanket stitched one evening at a time.
A market bag that carries memories long after summer ends.

The funny thing is that every one of those projects begins exactly the same way.

As a skein sitting on a shelf.
Waiting.

Waiting for the right project.
Waiting for the right color combination.
Waiting for the right maker to see what it could become.

As I've been planning summer projects and helping customers choose yarns, I've found myself returning to a few favorites again and again. Not because they're new. Not because they're trendy.

Because I can see the possibilities inside them.

This week's Nancy's Picks are yarns that deserve another look. Beautiful fibers. Wonderful colors. Endless project potential.

Some stories haven't been written yet.

Maybe one of them is yours.

Betty McKnits 6-Day Superstar Blanket CAL

Summer Stitching Starts Here.

Some summer memories begin with vacations.
Some begin with road trips.
Some begin with gathering around a table with friends.

And some begin with a crochet hook, a skein of yarn, and the first round of a blanket you'll remember long after summer is over.

The Betty McKnits 6-Day Superstar Blanket Crochet Along officially begins this week, and we're excited to stitch alongside crocheters from around the world.

The pattern is available. The yarn is here. The adventure is just beginning.

Whether you crochet a few rounds at a time or spend an entire afternoon watching the blanket grow, this project isn't about speed. It's about enjoying the journey, learning something new, and creating memories along the way.

Bring your blanket to Open Crafting. Share your progress in our Facebook Group. Cheer each other on. Ask questions. Celebrate milestones.

The best part of a Crochet Along isn't finishing first.
It's knowing you're making something together.

Summer stitching starts here.

Every fiber artist has a beginning story.

Sometimes it starts with a scarf that somehow got wider every row.
Sometimes it's a crochet project with a few extra stitches that mysteriously appeared along the way.
Sometimes it's a spinning wheel that seemed impossible to control.
And sometimes it's simply walking into a yarn shop for the first time and wondering if you belong.

The truth is that every project, every skill, and every confident maker started exactly the same way—with a first step.

A first stitch.
A first lesson.
A first project.
A willingness to try.

Not because they knew everything.
Not because they weren't nervous.

Simply because they decided to begin.

As summer gets underway, many of us are starting something new. A new project. A new skill. A new adventure. Maybe even a visit to a yarn shop we've never explored before.

The best summer memories don't begin when the project is finished.
They begin with the first stitch.

Wherever you are on your fiber journey, we're glad you're here.
