If you’re stopping in Thursday through Sunday of this week for our clearance sale, make sure you pop downstairs to the basement to The Root Cellar to see his latest beautiful creations. 3” to 6” pots, all with drainage holes.

Guess who's visiting The Root Cellar this week? THESE BEAUTIES. We brought in a bunch a rubber plants (ficus elastica). All are well rooted in 6 inch pots. Gorgeous colors and variation. We have some green, burgundy, Tineke and ruby in stock. $13 each, limit 2 per person.

Rubber plants are notoriously easy. (Yes, we understand there are a few of you who've killed one or two.) The plant loves bright, indirect light and a watering once a week during growing season and every 10-14 days in fall/winter. Toxic to pets.
Fun tip: Cut a slit in the node where a leaf fell off. This will allow a new leaf to grow quicker. Wipe down your rubber plant leaves occasionally. These plants grow FAST.

The Root Cellar, the brainchild of proprietor Lori Switaj, has more than pots though. We have local hot sauces and ketchups, macrame hangers, soaps and body scrubs and yes, even a children't book.
