Flowers really can make us feel better, and science backs it up.
Research has found that flowers can do more than brighten a room. A Rutgers University study found that receiving flowers was associated with more positive moods, even three days later. Other research found that simply looking at a flower image after a stressful experience helped reduce negative emotions and physiological signs of stress.
Sure, a bouquet won’t solve everything life throws our way, and flowers aren’t a replacement for mental health care. But sometimes, the small things can make a meaningful difference.
Flowers are so cool.
