I know I’ve been a little MIA on social media but I’m still here. I’ve just been doing my own thing with some custom pieces and working ALOT!

I just had to share these adorable ornaments 🥰 I literally just cut them out which is why they aren’t painted but they will be painted soon. They can also be a gift card holder!

I have a few more to cut out but I’m hoping to get these painted and up on the website this weekend 🤞🏻

I am looking for some other local small businesses owners that make their own products.

The Melody Maker in Clinton is looking to do a small local artisan shopping event after hours. We don’t have many details at this moment as this is just in the works.
•
If you are located in Clinton or in a direct surrounding town either comment on this post or message me directly with what you make, what town you are based out of, and a good email.
•
We will looking for 5 other crafters/artisans and will not allow doubles as to be fair since it will be small. Laser engraved items are already spoken for 😉

Reflecting on the year

Looking back at the past year I can’t believe how my business has evolved. I started with simple sugar scrubs and candles and have evolved into homemade soaps. I really feel like I found something that fits for me and I really enjoy it.

As I’ve experimented with different recipes and techniques for soap making I’ve decided that all my soaps will be free of artificial colorants and scents. I rely on essential oils, natural botanicals, and herbal infusions for added colors and scents. My base recipe for all soaps is now vegan friendly containing olive oil, coconut oil, canola oil, and shea butter. I will still offer a few soaps that are non-vegan (honey & goats milk) but the majority will be free of any animal by-products.

I have really enjoyed creating what is now Sam’s Homemade and I hope you all have also enjoyed this journey. I can’t wait to see what this year holds and I hope you all will hang around with me. I could not have done any of this without all of you! I wouldn’t be here today without all your support this past year.
