I am not a "techy" kind of gal. So, as MUCH as I wish I were, I am counting on my determination! And I have lots of that for sure! I'm a slow learner but a I have the cutest young lady, Cora, being very patient with me, and Guess What??? her fantastic boss loaned her to me ( he paid for her time) to teach me! WHAT A GUY!
His name is Jim Zupkus who owns Ameriwest Electric Corp. He is who I use for the electric work in my remodeling or new home jobs. He is terrific! He is always game to do what ever idea I come up with for my client. He does MAJOR JOBS, and works my little jobs into his busy schedule.
One job we did together was in a CDA condo, where there was a split staircase. It had a landing, then turned the corner and the stairs continued. At the landing you faced a blank wall where the builder, had left one of those stupid (excuse the criticism) 4 inch indentions and a large (not interesting) square space. What can you set on a 4" stud in a large square? Nothing! You can hang a painting in it but what's great about that?
Ah ha! my creative mind went to work. Yep, Jim could do it! I chose a beautiful blue wallpaper, that had streaks of real glass pebbles inlayed in the paper. Jim had the resource of tiny lights fixtures to shine down on the paper. Therefore, the paper and lighting was fantastic. Yay Jim! Then we risked his installers lives ( just kidding ) to install a grand large chandelier that shined down through the stairs. It was and still is stunning! Both when you were seeing it from the living area or when you were upstairs.
Do you have a place in your home that needs some pizzazz? Let me see it? Bet we can fix it!
Stay tuned...........................Von ( THANKS to those of you who have already responded to my only 24 hours on face book time). Cora said that it was amazing to have postings that fast!
