We just wrapped up an incredible summer of classes and community events! Congratulations to all of our participants who created beautiful work, and thank you to everyone who supported us in our community events. ❤️

We’re trying something new this year — a summer vacation! We hope you all get to enjoy Vermont’s many delightful outdoor activities as well … or the outdoors wherever you are. ☀️

At Friday’s South End Get Down (South End Get Down ), a sudden gust of wind knocked over my shelf, shattering almost every piece on it. I completely froze in shock, ready to burst into tears.

Community then surrounded me:
* Julianna Brazil (𝙹𝚞𝚕𝚒𝚊𝚗𝚗𝚊 𝙱𝚊𝚗𝚊𝚗𝚊 ) immediately sprung into action with a broom to sweep up the mess.
* Star Lenski, a customer who had just visited my booth, kindly bought a piece of pottery, picked up a few broken fragments, and later sent me this photo of how she creatively repurposed them.
* Blue Rose Art and a friendly employee from Skinny Pancake (The Skinny Pancake ) came by with comforting words and support.
* A few people who saw the accident came over and bought pieces to lift my spirits.
* Friends Priscilla, Ali, Bob, and Emily, who had stopped by to visit, supported me as I retold what had happened.
Thank you to everyone who turned a heartbreaking moment into an experience of interconnectedness and social care. ❤️

The studio scene right after class this morning. Today marks our last class session until mid-September! Tomorrow is our last party event, and Friday is our last market—catch us at the South End Get Down in BTV if you want to take home some of these cuties.
Whew! We’ve had a busy year and feel so excited about our summer pause. ☀️

We are so in love with this stunning bouquet from Amanda at Frannie and the Flower • Vermont Fresh Flowers!
These flowers welcomed our studio guests today for a bridal shower and a date night… and felt like the perfect match for all the love in the space! Amanda clearly puts so much care and artistry into her work, and this bouquet of new-to-me blooms brings me so much joy. Plus, they truly bring my handmade vase to life! 😊
Amanda and I happened to be neighbors the last few weeks at the new South Burlington farmer’s market hosted by Kate Likhite (a fellow Mudcraft potter!) at SBrecdept, and I couldn’t be happier to bring a piece of Amanda’s artistry into our studio. So grateful to be part of such a vibrant creative community! 💕

What a great night at the South Burlington Farmer’s Market! This was our third (and final) evening sharing our Giving Plates project there.

Thank you to Kate and her team for organizing this new community event, to all of my fellow vendors for the friendly conversations and delicious foods, and to all those who stopped by our booth to share their pottery stories!

It’s hard to believe that I used to be afraid of doing markets. Compliments and conversations do a craftsperson good. More, please. 💕

We had so much fun at the South End Get Down tonight! Our giving plates brought joy, and one of Lisa’s favorite vases found a home with a floral designer. We can’t wait to do it all again on Friday, July 31st (5-9pm). Come say hi!
