Some spaces ask for a little decorating.

And some spaces ask for a full theatrical moment.

Throwback to our 2020 Showhouse at Caumsett State Park, benefitting the Caumsett Foundation, where we transformed this stair hall with the most beautiful scenic wallpaper. What began as a lovely but quiet passage became something far more memorable — a layered, leafy, slightly magical ascent.

I’ve always thought wallpaper is one of the great secret weapons in design. It can soften architecture, add depth, distract from awkward walls, and turn the “in-between” spaces into the ones people remember most.

Proof that traditional rooms do not have to whisper.

A green velvet sofa, a cobalt blue cocktail table, a little blue-and-white, a few tigers, plenty of books, and suddenly the family room has a pulse.

Design tip: when using bold color, repeat it in smaller doses around the room so it feels intentional—not like one very enthusiastic piece of furniture wandered in alone.

2026 is an exciting year for me as I’m heading into year 10 of my solo interior design business (year eight of my store)! Above is one of my first published jobs with a client who’s now returned to me for their third exciting project. Her first project was featured in and her second was featured in the .

I don’t think there’s any greater compliment when a client refers you or comes back to you for another project. And in 2026, I’ll have three repeat clients each working on their second and third projects. There’s a wonderful level of trust that builds both as projects evolve and unfold. I think my clients sense I’m their design advocate — both decorative and fiscally — because what we do is not just a business, but a creative endeavor. We take pride both in our business practices as well as our results.

So I just want to take a moment to thank all of my wonderful clients, fantastic colleagues as well as all my friends who are following along here.
