Chameleon Pottery Studio

Over the past couple weeks we paired with Ryan Elementary School and Miss Christy Berry’s art classes to create pinch pots! The pinch pots created by the students are being donated to the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence Empty Bowls event in Novemeber to raise funds for hungry and homeless kids in Branch County. The project is a beautiful blend of art and community: the students get to learn about clay and art of ceramics, and learn more about their community and how they are making a difference. 🤝❤️

The kids were so creative and each bowl is just as unique as each of the students. We can’t wait to bisque fire the bowls in the kiln and bring them back for the students to glaze and see how they choose to decorate their creations! 🏺

In this time of uncertainty of funding for the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, we regret to inform you that the Chameleon Pottery Studio will be closing to the public. In order to provide the best support for our survivors of domestic and sexual violence, we must make necessary cuts across our organization. Unfortunately, the pottery studio does not have enough business from the public to keep the doors open and therefore we will be moving our pottery services back to one of our locations and will provide pottery services to our survivors and clients.

The Chameleon Pottery Studio will be closing to the public on October 1st.

For customers who still have pieces waiting to be glazed and fired, we will be open by appointment only until November 1st. We are actively working on contacting customers with unfinished pieces or pieces that are still waiting to be picked up.

Thank you to all the individuals, businesses, and other organizations that have supported the Chameleon Pottery Studio. We hope that we were able to bring joy to you and your family and friends as much it brings to our survivors. Potentially losing funding for the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence is devastating, but as always, we will do what we need to do to support our survivors. We thank you for your continued support.

HIS Spot for Tots came to the studio today for a quick, fun-filled field trip to learn about ceramics! What a blast! We can’t wait to see how their pieces come out of the kiln!🏺

⚠️REMINDER: The studio will be closed this week, August 3rd-9th, for the Branch County 4-H Fair. Help us support the mission of the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence by stopping by the Hope Cafe fair booth! All proceeds from the delicious food sales go right back to our organization to help our survivors and their families. 💜
