Yesterday started out a little rough. Car full of my made by me art for Victorian Christmas along with my most precious creation, my son Gus, slammed into a street sweeper with the rising sun in my eyes on the way to school. We survived with some no forming very sore muscles and a mild concussion for my babe which is producing a whole host of mom guilt feelings.
This morning I discovered that I also lost a small tub of my work. 4 mugs and a pitcher. Could have been so much worse and thankful it wasn’t. Still feeling a little broken about my kiddos head.
I’ve removed the broken items from my website and I still have plenty of the good stuff for those of you thinking about coming out to Victorian Christmas tonight. My only request is that you think happy healing thoughts for my kiddo. He’s better today than yesterday and I’m hopeful the worst is behind us.

I’m a fingers through the handle, palms wrapped around the body of the mug kinda coffee drinker and the soft ridges on these loves are so pleasing. How do you drink your coffee?

This kiln load fired slightly wonky and as a result, there’s this flashing of color on some of the pieces and I really like it. It feels very organic, like the way fruit ripens differently based on whether it’s touching another piece of fruit or sitting on the ground. I’m thinking about attempting to recreate the effect for future firings.
