As two holiday weekends have come and gone, we’re thinking about our loyal customers and wanted to share an update. Thank you for all your continued support! ❤️

It is heartbreaking to tell you that Thursday night our beloved store caught on fire and spread through the entire building. Although the inside of the store is gone, we are fortunate there are no injuries and everyone is safe.

We want to thank all of the local fire departments who were there to quickly put out the fire, police departments and the Town of Colonie for helping to ensure the safety of everyone. We greatly appreciate everything people did.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past 6 years. Your support means everything to us. Thank you to our incredible staff for working hard everyday and making sure our customers got the help they needed.

I also want to personally thank everyone who has reached out to me and know all your texts and calls are very much appreciated. Although I may not have responded to everyone yet they all mean alot to me.

Continue to follow us on social media as we work through the process, we will keep everyone updated on the future of Hansen’s Farm and Nursery.

🎄 ALL TREES ARE NOW $25-$50 🎄

Over 30 years ago, my family had a Christmas tree lot near Jack's Chinese Restaurant in Colonie, NY. Back then families would gather together to decorate their trees creating memories that lasted a lifetime.

My father, who passed away 30 years ago, was the heart of this tradition. Even though we didn’t have much, he always made sure we had a wonderful Christmas. His kindness knew no bounds—he would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need.

One of the most cherished memories for those who knew us and our lot was my father dressing up as Santa. Families would come from all around to see him, bringing joy and magic to so many children and their parents.

In his honor, as I carry on his traditions I’ve brought in extra trees for this weekend and will be offering them at his low prices $25 - $50 a tree , the prices of decades past.

Why?

We all need to remember Christmas is about more than decorations—it’s about togetherness. Whether you already have a tree or use an artificial one, come pick up another tree and start a new tradition.

🎵 Turn off the phones and tablets.
🎶 Play some holiday music.
🎨 Decorate together as a family—indoors or out.

If you don’t want a tree inside, an outdoor tree is a wonderful option. Kids of all ages will love decorating an outdoor tree and it’s a great activity for the whole family and invite some neighbors over to share some holiday cheer. Make food ornaments for the animals and enjoy watching them gather as you create something special together.
