Feng Shui, which literally means wind and water, has three basic schools or approaches to adjusting the energy flow of your home, garden or business.

1. Form school
2. Compass school
3. BTB or Black Hat Ta***ic Buddhist school

The Form school is the oldest approach to Feng Shui, dating back thousands of years. Today using Form School means analyzing natural features such as trees, hills, mountains, rivers, and lakes. In the urban environment, this also includes other buildings, walls, and fences. Form School is still relevant today, and particularly important in Flying Star Feng Shui.

2. Compass school - emphasizes the use of formulaic calculations – rather than the external physical landforms – to determine how Qi or Chi affects you and your home.

3. BTB - popularized in the West by Master Lin Yun, BTB focuses on the individuals intention. Black Hat practice uses the Eight Aspirations Map otherwise known as the Bagua Map (Ba Gua) or Energy Map, as its primary tool and is not otherwise a geomantic system.

Feng Shui Enhancements relies heavily on BTB design principles. However, if your desire is to purchase land and orient your home according to landforms and other geographical elements, the Form or Compass schools can be utilized.

The kitchen represents wealth. The Chinese word for food sounds the same as the word for wealth. The stove should always be clean and in good working order. If burners are clogged, business will be plagued with obstacles. The more burners, the more money earned. The stove should not be positioned so that the cook’s back is to the door. The cook should always be aware of who is entering the residence. Stove in the corner inhibits proper circulation on Chi. Stove too close to refrigerator - hot and cold cancel each other out. Wealth and health will be affected.
