Completed an order and a donation for the Arkansas Valley Community Cancer Support Group. They are having their 5th annual Chili dinner and auction down in Rocky Ford on the 24th if anybody is interested and up for the drive. The yellow ribbon is for angiosarcoma, the purple (in this scenario, or however the recipient interprets) is awareness for all types of cancers, and the pink is for breast cancer.

Hey everybody! I hope everyone is off to a good 2024. I'm a bit behind on things, and missed some great national holidays. This one may not be a fun one, but I feel the topic is so important to be aware of.

When I was a volunteer for a local organization, I was able to attend a great informational session held by two officers. It really opened my eyes to things I was pretty oblivious to, and the statistics are so scary.

One of our local malls was one of the top spots for this in our area. With already having a bad reputation for shootings, this can be added to the list. Needless to say, it was the first place I told my Son he could never go to just hang out there with friends.

It's been a busy few weeks, but I have a few new wreaths that were ordered. The gnome one is similar to the others. I ran out of the green leaves, so I used some white petals I had. The other one took a while because I used my laser for the wooden center. It took quite some time to figure out how to use it, but I think I finally have the basics down!

Something I am SLOWLY learning on this journey is to have patience with myself, and that I need to breathe. With the chaos in the stores, items impossible to find to complete orders, me picking apart my work until I want to throw the towel in, you name it.

I finally have boxes that have arrived to ship out orders, and I can purchase and print postage at home. Since we are almost in December already, I am going to mainly focus on my ribbon wreaths, Valentines, Easter, Spring, etc..

I will start marking the measurements with each item, and if you want something shipped, I can let you know how much it would be. I can't necessarily duplicate a wreath, but we can find something to make it uniquely yours if the posted one has sold!

Thank you all for bearing with me. I wanted to post this tonight as a reminder for each of you to give yourself a little grace as well (if you may be in a position to need it). It's a busy time of year for everyone, but don't forget to take care of yourself in the midst of the chaos! Please continue to give me your thoughts on what I make, and if you have any ideas! I have a few people waiting on orders. I promise, turn around time will get better. I wasn't quite prepared for shipping unfortunately, and of course the size box or close to it is hard to find. If I go to what's available, it's about 4 inches taller than we need and adds another $10 to shipping. I don't feel like I can ask you to pay almost $20 for shipping. I received my label printer for shipping today, and the scale, so as soon as possible I will get you invoice emailed, and then ship asap. I cannot tell you how patient and kind everyone has been. THANK YOU. I can go out and look again tomorrow, but if no luck are you ok to wait until the end of the week when they arrive? Have a good night!

I was asked to make a wreath for National Diabetes Month for this strong kiddo! Harrison was diagnosed with Type 1 at 4 years old. He is now 6 and sweet as can be. If you have a moment, let's send him some words of encouragement, especially for those rough days (even for his family). Thank you for letting me be a moment in your journey Harrison! If you know someone with diabetes, feel free to add their picture, with permission of course (or your own if it's you)! Always find something to make you laugh and keep your head up Harrison! You've got this!
