If you're hoping to have new countertops, a new sink, or backsplash installed before Thanksgiving or Christmas, now is the time to get on the schedule!

Here’s why timing matters in Colorado:

⏱️ A Colorado product can take around 3 weeks from measure to installation under normal circumstances. As we get closer to the holidays, our measuring schedule can book out several weeks in advance.

🚚 If your material needs to be brought in from another state, that can add several more weeks to the timeline.

❄️ And if you live in Colorado, you know what happens when fall arrives… HELLO, HALLOWEEN SNOW! 😂 Early snow can create delays with measuring, deliveries, and installations.

✨ A Detail That Was Anything But Simple! ✨

This project was one of those installations that challenged us from measure to fabrication to install—and we love a good challenge! 💪

We completed the countertops and full backsplash in NuStone Shasta Polished, including this beautifully wrapped window. Getting all of the angles, curves, and details of this window just right was NOT an easy task, but our team made it happen!

The finished space is going to be incredible, and we’re hoping to get a photo once the entire project is complete. Until then, we’ll happily take this one! 📸😍

"How much per square foot?" 🤔

It's one of the most common questions we get—and the answer is it depends.

Take this island for example. The finished countertop is only 44 square feet, but because of the large 81" x 77" island, it required two jumbo quartz slabs instead of one.

That makes a huge difference in material cost.

Even better, our team used Slabsmith technology with a green screen to digitally line up the veining between the two slabs, creating a seamless, natural look. Not every project is fortunate enough to have vein patterns that align this well, so careful planning is essential.

Now compare that to a different 44-square-foot kitchen with a simple L-shaped layout. That project may fit on one slab, resulting in a significantly different price—even though the square footage is exactly the same.

That's why we can't accurately quote countertops based on square footage alone. Layout, slab size, seam placement, material yield and edge details all play a role.

At Tops In Countertops, every project is custom. We take the time to maximize each slab while creating the best possible finished product—and we think that's worth it.
