End of summer in China 🇨🇳
Last week was my first time in China. I had a lot of curiosity about its architecture, history, and objects, but I also found so much beauty in the simplest things.
I loved walking through the old streets, discovering traditional houses with worn doors tucked into the city, the materials, textures, crafts, colors, and especially the everyday details — the way people live, gather, eat, work, and go about their day. Sometimes polished, sometimes raw, but always so rich and inspiring.
I tried new foods, walked a lot, learned a ton, and looked at everything simply as someone discovering a new world.
I’m grateful to have experienced Nanjing, Beijing, and Xi’an through Paul’s longtime colleagues and friends, who showed me a more personal side of China.

Fin del verano en China 🇨🇳
La semana pasada estuve en China por primera vez. Tenía mucha curiosidad por conocer su arquitectura, sus objetos y su historia, pero también me encontré disfrutando de las cosas más simples.
Me encantó caminar por las calles antiguas y descubrir esas casas tradicionales con puertas gastadas por el tiempo, todavía ahí, en medio de la ciudad. Me llamaron la atención los materiales, las texturas y los colores, y sobre todo la forma en que se vive: cómo se reúnen, comen, trabajan, se mueven y hacen su vida. A veces más refinado, a veces más rústico, pero siempre con algo especial.
Probé sabores nuevos, caminé muchísimo, aprendí un montón y miré todo con los ojos de alguien que simplemente está descubriendo un mundo nuevo.
Feliz de haber podido conocer Nanjing, Beijing y Xi’an a través de los colegas y amigos de Paul, que me mostraron un lado más personal de China.
