I need to be very honest about something…
Mother’s Day is still a very hard day for me.
I am a mom… but I’m also a mom who is still grieving.
And this time of year brings up a lot of emotions that are hard to put into words. Becasue, there really aren't the right words to combine to express my feelings.
But instead of letting my feelings and the pain consume me…
I’m choosing to turn it all into something meaningful.
This Mother’s Day weekend, myself, along with several volunteers, will be placing Maine Kindness Catch bags all across Maine — for the people who are celebrating, and for the ones who are grieving in silience.
Because I definitely know that I’m not the only one.
Some people will find these bags on one of the happiest days of their lives…
and some will find them on one of the heavier and hardest days.
And maybe—just maybe—it will be exactly what they needed in that moment.
