As a new semester begins at the University of South Carolina, we’re proud to see students learning, gathering, and making memories in places BOUDREAUX has helped shape across campus.

From the Joseph F Rice School of Law and Campus Village to renovations at the School of Journalism and Hamilton College, the preservation of the historic Horry-Guignard House, and the future Health Sciences Campus taking shape at BullStreet, we’re grateful to have played a part in USC’s evolving campus for more than four decades.

We love our summer interns!

Last week, we said goodbye to Lauren, Sara, and Sydney after a wonderful summer at BOUDREAUX. They brought fresh perspectives and thoughtful questions to our work, while sharing a genuine enthusiasm for design and the communities we serve.

At BOUDREAUX, we believe inspired design starts with people who care deeply about the places they help create. We hope their time with us sparked new ideas and strengthened their passion for design. We know their creativity and talent inspired us along the way.

Happy first week of classes, UNC Charlotte! As students return to campus, we’re excited to see the Loy H. Witherspoon Center for Meditation and Reflection taking shape. The new center and surrounding gardens will offer a peaceful place to pause, reflect, and connect within the energy of campus life. The Center honors the legacy of Dr. Loy H. Witherspoon, a beloved professor and longtime member of the UNC Charlotte community.

Spend a day in the studio with our Architecture Intern Sara!



This summer, Sara jumped right into the action - contributing to real projects, exploring design ideas, and collaborating one-on-one with project managers and principals. She’s also had the opportunity to get out of the studio for a variety of site visits, seeing projects at different stages and experiencing firsthand how ideas on the screen and page take shape in the real world.

We love giving our interns the opportunity to experience the many sides of architecture and, most importantly, to do real work on real projects alongside the people leading them. Whether she’s working through a design, asking questions with her project team, learning in the field, or staying fueled with a Diet Dr Pepper, Sara is getting a firsthand look at what a career in architecture can be.

Spend a day in the archives with our intern Sydney! As we celebrate our 50 years here at BOUDREAUX, our archive intern, Sydney, has been helping us uncover, organize, and share the stories that have shaped our firm along the way. From digitizing decades of photographs, drawings, and documents to helping curate our anniversary exhibits and commemorative book, she’s getting a behind-the-scenes look at architecture through a unique lens. We love having Sydney on our team and giving students opportunities to experience the architecture and design world beyond the drawing board. Her internship is a chance to explore the intersection of architecture, history, presentation, storytelling, and design - while helping us bring 50 years of BOUDREAUX history back to life. Come along for a day in the life of an archivist intern at BOUDREAUX!
