❄️🛁 My Wintertime Magic Bath!
I know I linked this on my stories, but I never really explained it!
This is just what my family and I do. Zero pressure, just thought I’d share……..
The minute one of my kids starts sniffing suspiciously, guess who’s going straight into the bathtub? 😂
I’ve been doing this for YEARS!!!!
I think baths are becoming a lost art, and that’s a shame. Warm water, relaxing those achy muscles, calming your nervous system, and giving your body a chance to rest when it’s working overtime. Sometimes the simplest things are the best!
And because I’m not a gatekeeper, here’s my recipe!
🛁 My Magic Bath Mix
* 4 cups Epsom salt
* 2 cups magnesium chloride flakes
* 1 cup bentonite clay
* 1 cup baking soda
The magnesium salts create a mineral-rich soak, bentonite clay helps absorb impurities from the skin, and baking soda is an old-fashioned bath staple!
Mix everything together and store in a large jar.
Makes 8 cups, enough for 5–8 adult baths!
I use 1 to 1½ cups per bath…..sometimes 2 cups 🫣
And soak for least 15 minutes, but who’s watching the clock? 😂 ( usually my kids watch a movie ) @
I also add a few drops of lavender and eucalyptus essential oils as the water runs. Sometimes I put a few in the mixture just because I love how it smells when I open the jar!
And if you want to be extra… 😂
I also use an ozone bubbler in a very well-ventilated area! It bubbles ozone through the water. Ozone has been studied for its effects on the skin, oxidative stress, and the body’s natural antioxidant defenses. Not necessary, just something else I’ve incorporated into my routine!
Anyway, that’s my wintertime magic bath! Sometimes we need to stop complicating everything and bring back the simple things. 🤍
