Now in booth 1079! At Hidden Treasures Finders Keepers!

Stunning vintage toleware table lamp in a rich mustard yellow finish. Dating from the 1950s–1960s, this metal lamp features black hand-painted detailing in a classic folk art motif and a wide tole shade with charming perforated floral cutouts along the top band.

The combination of primitive Americana style and colonial revival influence makes this piece a versatile standout — perfect for a cozy farmhouse nook, a mid-century entry table, or an eclectic reading corner. The lamp's vibrant color adds warmth and personality, while the elegant turned base and flared metal shade bring timeless structure to your space.

Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. Minor wear to painted surface consistent with age. Wiring is tested and functional. As with all vintage lighting, professional inspection is recommended before regular use.

Measurements (approximate):
Height: 23"
Shade diameter: 17"
Base diameter: 7"

Why You’ll Love It:
This piece has all the charm of vintage Americana with the bold pop of mid-century color. It's a statement piece that adds personality, warmth, and texture to any room — ideal for those who love retro farmhouse, eclectic interiors, or vintage lighting with character.

Please note: As with all vintage items, there are likely signs of wear. I do my best to point out anything beyond normal wear and tear. But, please be sure to inspect the pictures to be sure it meets your expectations. I want you to LOVE your piece!

HELP US FIND THE MISSING CANISTERS 🤍

PLEASE SHARE 🫶

See these beautiful, hand-painted, one-of-a-kind canisters?

One of our vendors stocked them at Wildwood Mercantile, and they went viral. By the next morning, we had dozens of inquires.

But before the doors ever opened, a man in Georgia had already sent payment.

His fiancée had seen the canisters online, fallen in love with them, and apparently couldn’t stop talking about them. He figured out where we were, found our phone number, and contacted us because he wanted to surprise her with them as a wedding gift. 🥹

We ship fragile antiques and vintage items all the time—even before Wildwood officially opened—so we carefully packed them up and sent them on their way to Georgia.

About a week later, he received a notification from UPS that the package had been damaged in transit.

That immediately seemed strange to both of us. We’ve each had packages arrive damaged before, but neither of us had ever received a notification like this.

I immediately offered him a refund.

He told me no.

The package was only about 30 minutes from his house in Dalton, Georgia, and he still wanted those canisters—even if they were damaged. At that point, it wasn’t really about the canisters anymore. They were supposed to be a wedding gift for the woman he loves.

UPS told us the package was being returned to me, but that we could request for the receiving facility to hold it so he could pick it up instead.

I called UPS corporate. They told me it wouldn’t be a problem and that they would contact the facility directly to have the package held.

Later, I received a call from someone at that facility who told me she had just gotten there, didn’t know what I was talking about, and would have to leave it for the day shift. She was very rude and seemingly couldn’t care less.

And then…nothing.

We never heard anything else.

The canisters never made it to him.

And they never made it back to me.

Eventually, I received a refund for the shipment, and of course I refunded him as well.

We’ve both spoken with UPS drivers since then who have told us the circumstances surrounding this package are extremely unusual. We have our theories about what may have happened, but ultimately, we just want to know where these canisters went.

More than anything, this man STILL wants to surprise his fiancée with the canisters she fell in love with as a wedding gift.

So here’s where Facebook comes in. ❤️

Maybe this post reaches someone who knows something. Maybe someone saw them. Maybe someone at the facility remembers the package. Maybe, somehow, these one-of-a-kind canisters can find their way to Georgia and into the hands of the woman they were intended for.

Please share this post.

Let’s see if a little antique shop in a tiny East Texas town and the power of social media can solve the mystery of the missing canisters—and help a groom give his bride the wedding gift he tried so hard to find. 🤍
