Our Story

Since it opened in 1996, The Cottage is the destination for homeowners wanting what no other furniture store or interior designer could offer them. We are the ultimate "one-stop" interior design resource. Specializing in custom, quality furniture, The Cottage provides its clients with a unique look, entirely their own. Clients can choose to work on their own or with our talented design staff. We have 3 in-house designers who work with you at your home and our store to help you create the look you want for your entire home; from floor plans, choosing furniture, accents, paint, wallpaper, carpeting and window treatments.

Our store has several room settings to inspire you. The majority of the furniture in our store can be custom ordered to your specifications. Our upholstery pieces can be ordered in many different fabrics. Some can actually be ordered in any fabric with the choice of having it slip covered or upholstered. We offer over 300 sofa and chair styles from several manufacturers.

Our tables, chests, and occasional pieces can also be custom ordered to suit your needs. You can choose from a variety of stains or painted finishes. For example, some of our manufacturers can custom build even a large entertainment center to your specifications. If you dream it, we can create it. We don't stop there. Our store is always filled with unique, beautiful accents - lamps, prints, florals, candles collected together in a place like no other - the finishing details to make your house the home of your dreams. And we also offer custom bedding, sheets, custom window treatments and rugs.
