These stunning mosaic works of art were created to beautify and unit a community. The wall of mosaic hearts was a community effort to bring love to this once forgotten part of town. A small park along the Everglades was also created across the street, and the massive and impressive mosaic iguana watches over all who stop to watch the iguanas eat and sun themselves.

WOW what a busy summer it's been!! So busy that I haven't had time to post ANYTHING! Let's go back to Labor Day weekend when I finished up some painting and design for my sister and brother-in-law while they were away. I have the absolute best time redesigning spaces... I have carte blanche (who wouldn't like this?) and enjoy the challenge of making over spaces on a budget. Aside from the redefined entryway, do these spaces give you relaxing, coastal, beachy vibes?

I spent last year working on one house with multiple projects inside of it. I was both designer and contractor for most of the projects. I painted the woodwork and prepped the old walls for new wallpaper while I designed the spaces in my mind as I worked. This is the story of a 100 year old house that hadn't been updated in 40 years. The design unfolded and evolved over months of design, labor, and research. Aside from new carpet, paint and paper, the window treatments and bench seat are also new. I remixed the homeowner's curated artwork to create fresh gallery walls, and "stole" a few pieces of furniture from other rooms. (Who doesn't love incorporating their favorite pieces in their revamped spaces?!) This collage shows the foyer's transformation from an unused music room to the "Grand Hall" that now welcomes guests inside for a visit.

Did you know that I sell furniture and accessories that I see at the Las Vegas Market? The LVMkt is also where I find interior design inspiration galore for my projects. This year's furniture market was packed with beautiful and functional furniture designs, gorgeous home decor, great people and tons of fun! It's not all play though...I actually placed a couple of furniture orders at the market too. Will you keep me in mind the next time you're ready to replace your old furniture?

I attended the Las Vegas furniture market last week, but this photograph, by Steve Spatafore aka Fotovegas , was taken during the summer market sometime before COVID. 👀 Look… I still had dark hair!

There are literally millions of ways I could design this tiny 5'x7' bathroom! I'm liking what I'm seeing especially if I paint the built-in cabinet to blend in with the wall color.💡What do you think if I tile only the shower walls leaving the other walls for paint or paper?

I installed peel-and-stick wallpaper for the first time, and I have to say custom Sunrise Palms Smooth Finish wallpaper was relatively easy to install and looks fantastic on the wall! I can’t stop looking at this stunning wall! What about you –do you love it?!

Tada! The grand hall is now complete after we installed the finishing touches…beautiful embroidered valances mounted on French inspired rosettes, and gorgeous patterned sheers. When was the last time you saw traditional styled window treatments?
