A green spotted hellbender with my 3rd grade colored pencil skills. Fast and fun. I was introduced to a lure maker here in Arkansas this weekend that offered some mentorship, really exciting!

I'm motivated after being at the knife show this past weekend, so I'll be back in the shop next week. I have several kitchen knives to fulfill and a few deer skinners to make.

First cast last night at Beaverfork while I was still on the phone with my wife. 4lb 8oz according to someone's scale out there.

I wasn't expecting one this big, so I didn't have the net. He broke my pole when he flopped out of my hand, so I ate him. That'll teach him.
