Gentle Readers,
Many years ago, we opened the doors to our needlework, craft, and fabric store, The Thread & Treadle. We focused on quilting, sewing, counted cross stitch, and the many craft lines of the 80's. A mom & pop & daughter store, a family venture that catered to our customers through all the years that we were open.
Unfortunately, illness and other challenges changed our direction and we closed our doors for good in 1991. If an online presence had been more readily available, we might have kept going but such was not the case.
Now, 30 years later, a family is grown and the pop is now gone, but my mother and I have started an Etsy store that revives that long-ago dream of supplying craftspeople with the Thread & Treadle style customer service. We are currently offering vintage, OOP, as well as new products for sewing, costuming, quilting, needlework, and crafts. We will also add posts that offer new creative ideas and helpful hints.
