Yesterday I stopped by Mosaicaisles to restock my booth with some new goodies, and my sweet boothmate Jasmine from Paint the Grain: A Creative Studio showed up to help me make everything look pretty! 🥹❤️

Seriously, she has such an eye for staging! Tomorrow is the BIG GRAND OPENING, and I couldn’t be happier for the team at Mosaic Isles! 🎉 One thing that really stands out to me is that every single booth is FULL!

That’s pretty impressive, especially considering the previous store struggled to fill the space even with all its national brand recognition and marketing. It’s so exciting to see a locally owned business breathe new life into this space.

There are so many beautiful boutiques, talented makers, and small businesses under one roof, and I genuinely want to see every single one of them succeed! If you’re local, come check it out tomorrow! Let’s show Mosaic Isles and all these small businesses some love! 🛍️

Just a couple of small business ghosties getting through the workday. 👻😂 On the The Maker Hour we get a little out of hand sometimes, and somehow we ended up running a podcast, assembling projects, and doing an entire ghost photoshoot in bedsheets and witchy hats. Because apparently being a responsible adult and owning a business doesn’t mean you have to act like one ALL the time. 😏 Tag the work besties you’d do this with! 👻💕 SFLmomma3098 amandaleavitt7

Who knew you could bend acrylic to fit the grooves of a pumpkin?! 🎃🤯

Yesterday on we experimented LIVE with the xTool Wonder Press to heat and mold laser-cut acrylic onto craft pumpkins, and the results were SO COOL! 🔥

Our settings: 320°F for 120 seconds at 50 kg of pressure.

A few things we learned along the way:

🎃 Remove the masking from BOTH the acrylic and the adhesive backing BEFORE heating.
🎃 Place the acrylic on parchment paper to make it easier to handle.
🎃 While the acrylic is still warm and flexible, gently press it into the pumpkin’s grooves so it molds to the shape!

I love experimenting with new techniques, especially when we get to figure things out together LIVE! 🥰
