Some of our favorite detail shots from a project we’ve been bringing to life. From the interplay of materials and textures to the carefully considered finishes, every element contributes to the overall composition of the space. It’s these thoughtful details that bring the design together, creating a result that feels cohesive, intentional, and uniquely its own. We can’t wait to share more of this project with you.

Working with a designer goes beyond making a space look beautiful. It’s about creating a home that reflects who you are and inspires you every day. With the right vision, every corner tells a story.

Bringing the outdoors in doesn’t always mean adding more.

A few carefully selected branches introduce shape, texture, and movement while softening the clean lines of a space. Their organic silhouettes create contrast against the architecture, adding warmth and visual interest without overwhelming the composition.

It’s about finding the balance between structure and softness—using natural elements to make the space feel layered, considered, and complete.

Our process behind every thoughtfully designed space.

Before a project reaches its final form, there’s a lot that happens behind the scenes. From the first conversations and ideas to the many decisions, refinements, and details along the way, every stage plays a part in shaping the finished space.

It’s a process of understanding, designing, coordinating, and bringing everything together—carefully and intentionally.

Here’s a look at how we take a project from the initial idea to the moment it all comes together.

Designing a home is really about designing the way you live in it.

The finishes, the furniture, the lighting—and yes, even the flowers. It’s all in the details.

Just another day at SDS.

Ready to dig into the details? Let’s talk.

Before the room felt cozy, it had to come together piece by piece.

We worked through the layout, materials, furniture, lighting, and styling to create the right balance of warmth and comfort. Here’s a closer look at the progress details that shaped this family room before everything came together in the final reveal.

Warm and cool tones come together to give this living room its distinct character. Each element adds to the balance of the composition; from the softer warmth of the furnishings to the cooler accents throughout the space. It creates a room that feels layered, welcoming, and naturally cohesive.

Defining a space through material.

Every room begins with a dialogue between textures, tones, finishes, and form. The materials we choose not only shape how a space looks, but also how it feels, moves, and is experienced.

Contrasting materials are brought together to create balance—allowing each element to stand apart while still belonging to the same composition. Warm meets cool, smooth meets textured, and solid meets light.

It is through these relationships that each room develops its own character, creating interiors that feel layered, considered, and naturally cohesive.
