Winding down the weekend; enjoying the 78 degree evening so I decided to crack open a 2024 tin of Blue Ridge to go with one of my WhoDat shop pipes.

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Mrs. WhoDat is definitely not a fan of this - but this year old whole leaf Perique smells wonderful to me! 😁

Had a lot of questions about “Beaux’s Boomstick” - and while I’m still waiting on most of the components, I’ll at least let y’all in the component list!

This will be a stout blend consisting heavily of Dark Fired Kentucky, Perique and Rustica rounded out with some Virginia and Burley.

This isn’t a codger blend, instead it’s a blend you could picture wafting out the pipe of an old school New Orleans beat cop! A strong aroma that announced his presence before you ever saw him. The blend of a cop who didn’t take lip from anyone and who showed up carrying the Boomstick when things went sideways.

It’s also an ode to my Great Grandfather James M. Gagan - an old school New Orleans Police Officer.
