Just back from the HD Expo in Vegas and one thing is clear: hospitality inspired design continues to influence the future of commercial and multifamily spaces.
Here are a few design trends we noticed this year:
• Bold tile patterns that feel almost like mosaics or wallcoverings, bringing texture, movement, and personality to a space.
• Nature inspired palettes continue to dominate. Sage green, soft blues, and terracotta shades are still going strong, paired with organic shapes and biophilic patterns that create a calming, welcoming feel.
• Playful outdoor furniture with colorful frames in blues, greens, and blush tones is adding character and energy to amenity spaces.
• Durable materials with elevated aesthetics such as faux wood finishes and wicker rope details, blending warmth and texture with long term performance outdoors.
• Warmer neutrals are replacing colder grays, with warm whites and soft grays becoming the preferred foundation for more inviting environments.
At CDS, we love seeing how hospitality trends continue to shape the resident experience and finding thoughtful ways to bring these ideas into multifamily spaces in a way that feels timeless and functional.
